1.1 HVAC Products

  • Indoor Units (e.g., air handlers, mini-split systems, etc.).
  • Outdoor Units (e.g., compressors, condensers, heat pumps, etc.).
  • Accessories and parts that are integral to system performance.

1.2 HVAC Services

  • Installation services performed by Kool Air and Heat Store certified technicians.
  • Repair and maintenance services for HVAC systems purchased from our store.

2. Warranty Period

The warranty period varies based on the product or service category:

2.1 HVAC Products

  • Standard Warranty: 1-year limited warranty covering parts and labor.
  • Extended Warranty (optional): Available for up to 5 years on selected products for an additional fee.

2.2 HVAC Services

  • Installation Warranty: Covered for 90 days against workmanship defects.
  • Repair/Maintenance Warranty: Covered for 30 days on the specific issue repaired or maintained.

3. What the Warranty Covers

Our warranty includes the following protections:

  1. Product Defects:

    • Manufacturing defects or failures in materials.
    • Faulty components impacting system performance.
  2. Installation Issues:

    • Errors in installation performed by authorized Kool Air and Heat Store technicians.
  3. Performance Failures:

    • HVAC systems failing to operate as specified under normal use and maintenance conditions.
  4. Parts and Labor:

    • Replacement of defective parts and associated labor costs during the warranty period.

4. What the Warranty Does NOT Cover

The warranty does not cover:

4.1 Improper Use or Neglect

  • Failure to follow operating instructions or maintenance schedules.
  • Use of incompatible parts or accessories.

4.2 Damage from External Factors

  • Weather-related damage (e.g., storms, flooding, lightning).
  • Power surges, electrical issues, or poor installation by third parties.

4.3 Normal Wear and Tear

  • Consumable parts (e.g., filters, refrigerants).
  • Cosmetic issues that do not affect performance (e.g., scratches).

4.4 Unauthorized Repairs or Modifications

  • Any repair or modification not performed by Kool Air and Heat Store technicians or authorized personnel.

5. Filing a Warranty Claim

6. Responsibilities of the Customer

To maintain warranty eligibility, you must:

  • Operate the product according to the user manual.
  • Schedule regular maintenance and servicing as recommended.
  • Report any issues promptly to prevent further damage.

7. Extended Warranty

8. Limitations of Liability

Our liability is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the product or service covered under this warranty. We are not responsible for:

  • Incidental or consequential damages (e.g., increased energy costs, property damage).
  • Loss of use or income caused by product failure.

9. Warranty Exclusions for Services

The following are excluded from service warranty coverage:

  1. Repairs required due to misuse or improper installation by third parties.
  2. Damage caused by environmental factors, such as extreme weather.
  3. Maintenance issues unrelated to the original service.

10. Transferability

  • Warranties for HVAC products are non-transferable and apply only to the original purchaser.
  • Service warranties are tied to the original installation or repair and cannot be transferred to subsequent property owners.

11. Dispute Resolution
